This notice applies to the Virava pages on wiwi.vn (the product page, the Get started page, the legal pages, and the source linking page) and to the referral source linking described in section 5. It does not replace the legal documents of the Virava plugin and does not change anything you agreed to when connecting your website to the plugin.
1. What we measure
A random ID for your browser (it contains no name, email, or phone number) and a visit session ID.
The source that brought you to the page: campaign parameters in the URL (utm, campaign ID, ad group, ad, keyword), ad click IDs (gclid, gbraid, wbraid), and the referring domain.
Interactions on the page: page views; viewing time, counted only while the tab is visible and active; scroll depth; content blocks viewed; buttons seen and clicked (plugin download, Zalo); demo videos played.
Technical quality: page load time (LCP) and JavaScript errors with URLs and parameters stripped.
Device type based on screen size (phone or computer).
We do not store IP addresses in measurement data. IP addresses are used only temporarily to block excessive submissions within one minute.
2. Why
To learn which ads and channels bring people who are genuinely interested in Virava, so we can allocate advertising spend.
To learn which parts of the page are viewed and where visitors stop, so we can improve page content and speed.
When you click to download the plugin, the page sends a conversion to Wiwi's Google Ads account (tag AW-18519748418) to measure advertising performance.
3. Where data is stored and for how long
In your browser: wiwi.vn localStorage and the virava_vid cookie (for wiwi.vn only, expiring after 90 days without a return visit).
On Wiwi's servers: detailed events for 90 days; visit sessions for 180 days; browser IDs for 90 days from the last visit. Aggregate figures not tied to a browser ID or website: 25 months. Website linking has its own retention periods in section 5.
Google's base Google Ads tag loads on the Virava pages and may set Google's own cookies (for example _gcl_au) under Google's policies; this part is controlled by Google. Exception: the source linking page /virava/lien-ket does not load any code from Google or any other third party.
4. Turning off Wiwi measurement in this browser
When you turn it off:
The page stops sending all Wiwi measurement events, deletes the browser ID and session ID stored in the browser, and deletes the virava_vid cookie.
The page stops sending the "plugin download click" conversion to Google Ads.
The base Google Ads tag still loads as described in section 3.
Turning it off applies only to this browser: the page stops sending this browser's events and creates no new source links from this browser. Data already recorded on the server is not deleted immediately but expires according to sections 3 and 5; for existing links, see section 5.3. To have it deleted sooner, contact us as described in section 7.
Status in this browser: measurement is on.
This option applies only to the current browser. Clearing this browser's site data also clears this option.
5. Websites connected to the Virava plugin
5.1 Usage milestones sent from the plugin server (all connected websites, regardless of the box in section 5.2)
The plugin server (content.wiwi.vn) sends the website's usage milestones to Wiwi's measurement system: when it was connected, profile saves, articles created and delivered to the website (without article content), credits used, credits granted or refunded, top-ups (amount in VND and number of credits), plugin version, and whether the website belongs to an internal or pilot group. Websites and wallets are identified by random reference IDs.
Not sent: domain name, website address, email, phone number, IP address, article content, or your notes.
Used for Wiwi's aggregate operational and business reports. Without the link in section 5.2, these milestones are not tied to any browser or traffic source.
Retention: 13 months for each milestone; aggregate figures not tied to a website: 25 months.
5.2 Referral source linking (only when you tick the box)
When connecting your website in the plugin, you can tick the "Record referral source" box. This box is unchecked by default. If you don't tick it, no link is created, no tab is opened, and setup proceeds normally. If you tick it:
A new tab opens the page wiwi.vn/virava/lien-ket with a one-time code (expiring after 15 minutes). This page does not load any advertising code or third-party code.
The page reads the existing browser ID from section 1 (if any; the page does not create a new one) and links it to the newly connected website, recording the source that brought this browser to Virava (for example, which ad campaign) at the time of linking.
From then on, this website's milestones in section 5.1 are attributed to the recorded source, to measure the effectiveness of Wiwi's channels and ads.
The link is not used to contact you or to target ads at you individually.
The notice version you saw when ticking the box and when the linking page opened is stored with the record.
Retention periods for linking:
Browser ID in the link record: 30 days from linking, then removed; the source recorded at linking is kept as described below.
The website's recorded source and the link record: 25 months.
Unused codes: deleted 7 days after expiry.
5.3 Turning off measurement and existing links
If the browser has measurement turned off (section 4), the linking page sends nothing and no referral source is recorded.
Turning off measurement AFTER linking: the recorded link is not removed automatically, and that website's later milestones in section 5.1 continue to be attributed to the source recorded at linking. To remove a website's link, contact us as described in section 7.
6. Change history
Version 1.1 (effective October 27, 2026): Added section 5: usage milestones sent from the plugin server for every connected website; referral source linking only when you tick the box; turning off measurement after linking. Section 3 now states the 25-month retention for aggregate figures and the exception for the linking page, which does not load the Google tag.
Version 1.0 (effective October 26, 2026): First version, released together with the new measurement method on the Virava pages.
